DanBred is pleased to announce the new organisational structure of the company. This updated structure is designed to bring DanBred even closer to its partners, which will improve knowledge sharing and ensure that all partners can achieve the maximum performance from DanBred’s world-class genetics.
DanBred’s new organisational structure reflects the current market situation and will support the company’s overall strategy by allowing the local teams around the world to reinforce the relationships with the partners in the different markets. “It is of highest importance that we – as an international company with extensive growth plans – have an updated and professional organisational structure that supports this,” says Claus Fertin, CEO of DanBred.
The new organisational structure has led to Mr Stefan Derks joining the management group in DanBred. In addition to his current work for DanBred in Northwestern Europe and Klasse, Stefan will now work as “Regional Director Europe” in DanBred P/S. DanBred is very proud to welcome Stefan into the management – and excited to see how he will strengthen DanBred’s presence in Europe. Stefan says: “DanBred pigs have the fastest growth, the lowest feed conversion ratio, and excellent lean meat percentage resulting in high tissue growth from farrow to finish – I’m excited to contribute to spreading this message all over Europe.”
It is essential for DanBred to strengthen its presence in all of the most important markets. Therefore, Mr Thomas Orthaus Hansen has moved to a new management position as “Regional Director Asia, Americas & Africa”, where his specific focus on these regions will power DanBred to grow even further.
Moreover, Mr Peter M. Mathiasen has joined the management group in DanBred as “Supply Chain & Operations Director”. Peter has worked in DanBred for many years and has great experience with DanBred’s products, solutions and genetics, which will allow him to reinforce DanBred’s position as a world-leading supplier of pig genetics. DanBred is very pleased to see Peter join the management group and is certain that he will contribute to steering DanBred in the right direction.
To ensure an even closer co-operation worldwide and a stronger relationship with DanBred’s partners, more experienced DanBred employees have been moved to new positions as Key Account Managers. This will specifically contribute to DanBred’s ambitious growth plans by strengthening DanBred’s presence in the relevant markets.
Pig farming is currently going through a difficult time, particularly due to the high prices of feed. The prices of feed are at a historically high level. As a result, the cost price of pork production has risen far above €2 per kg. With a current selling price of approximately €1.64 per kg, pig productions produce pork with a very negative cash flow. The only thing they can do is to ensure the best genetic composition of the finisher pigs, which further reduces the feed consumption in the production of pork. DanBred’s continuous breeding progress results in direct profitability for the pig producers. Finisher traits have improved significantly in recent years; feed conversions of the three DanBred breeds have improved by more than 10 %, and this progress is visible 1:1 for the finishers in the production herds. And the future will also bring more pig survival all the way from birth to slaughter. DanBred’s new organisational structure will allow even more pig producers worldwide to achieve world-class results.
