In collaboration with our partner Bonafarm Agriculture, DanBred recently took part in a successful event in Hungary.
Colleagues from DanBred’s headquarters in Denmark visited Hungary for the event, so we took this opportunity to get together with our valuable partner, Bonafarm Agriculture, for a dinner on the night before the event. It was great to have those face-to-face talks about our future collaboration.
Both János Ádám, CEO of Bonafarm Agriculture, and Claus Fertin, CEO of DanBred, participated in the dinner and were happy to get to know each other even better. From Bonafarm’s side were also Gábor Bakó, Director of the Pig Division, Tibor Nagy, Integration and Strategy Director, Ferenc Róbert Mátyus, Breeding Director, and Ingrid Hartmann, General Manager in Galina Investment (a subsidiary of Bonafarm Agriculture). From DanBred’s side were Sigrid Beth Rasmussen, Manager of Product Development & Academy, Madalin Hincu, Area Sales Manager, and René Lykke Lyngsøe, Key Account Manager.

The atmosphere was good, and everyone enjoyed an informal evening together.
An important event with valuable partners
The next day, we were nearly 70 people gathered for the actual event, where top pig producers from Hungary as well as strategic partners from Romania were invited for a great day of socialising, networking and overall knowledge sharing. It was nice for everyone to meet each other, and there were good discussions all around.
Beside the socialising, we also enjoyed several insightful presentations:
For example, our colleague Sigrid Beth Rasmussen held a very interesting presentation about DanBred’s progress over the years, what the improvements have meant for farmers worldwide, and where DanBred is heading in the coming years.
Moreover, Ferenc Róbert Mátyus kindly shared Bonafarm’s strategy for the next few years with the audience. Our partner has ambitious plans consisting in ramping up the DanBred Hybrid (F1) production to cover the demand for high-quality gilts in Hungary and the region in general. An expansion of the AI station was also announced – to ensure that Bonafarm is able to keep up with the increasing requests for fresh semen.
Thanks to the team from Bonafarm Agriculture, who made this successful event possible – and to everyone who participated and made the day special. We look forward to more events like this in the future.
