DanBred has increased earnings significantly in 2024, despite unchanged revenue. The positive results come from a focused streamlining of the business’ efficiency and expansion of the global presence.
In the 2024 financial statements DanBred has presented a revenue of EUR 147,2 million (2023: EUR 147,1 million), an EBITDA of EUR 8.2 million (2023: EUR 5.1 million) and a profit before tax of EUR 6.0 million (2023: EUR 1.2 million). The positive result comes from successfully implementing strategies to improve market position and competitiveness.
Chairman of the Board Truels Damsgaard says: “This year’s outcome proves that we have a competent organization that knows how to translate strategic initiatives into solid results. It is positive to witness the continued streamlining of the company’s operations.”
DanBred has continued the optimisation from 2023 and especially focused on getting closer to customers, which has resulted in several new international contracts and agreements. The organization has also strengthened its international presence by adding more local sales and service employees.
CEO Torben Aarris adds: “ We have made significant financial progress in 2024 and launched a number of long-term initiatives to strengthen our global position. We look forward to building on this success.”
Global trials show that DanBred’s genetics are market leading. In the past two years, the genetic progress has provided DanBred’s customers with an added value of EUR 1.65 per slaughter pig per year. The economic advantage comes from higher daily gain, better feed efficiency, and improved litter results. Additionally, new breeding goals are day by day contributing to improved survival and robustness in sows and pigs. More of the world’s largest pig producers are profiting from this development.
