DanBred is looking for a Technical Service Manager in Mexico with hands-on experience.

 

Working from a base in Mexico, our new Technical Service Manager will deliver DanBred service solutions to key accounts and local distributors in Mexico – and potentially, over time, to a small degree in the northern part of LATAM. Moreover, the Technical Service Manager will provide hands-on technical service to appointed target customers as well as engage in the technical development of DanBred’s distributor and multiplier network.

 

The role will be reporting to Country Management Mexico in close collaboration with the regional commercial and technical leadership to align on the strategies and actions proactively set for DanBred LATAM.

 

The aim is to position DanBred as the genetic partner of choice by delivering solution-oriented services and technical expertise. Adding success and value beyond our core product – by refining the on-farm management skills and knowledge levels – will help our customers release the full potential of DanBred. This includes delivery of profound production analysis, systematic production optimisation, and on-farm assistance as well as training in professional pig production management, where the primary focus is to improve the overall production outcome.

 

A large amount of travel activity in Mexico, and to some degree in the region, is expected. Participation in global meetings and training sessions is mandatory.

 

 

Essential job responsibilities:

  • Be a point of contact for key accounts in Mexico with focus on knowledge sharing, assure material for data-driven decisions, and focus on assuring customer success at our key accounts.
  • Provide professional, hands-on management and nutritional support on-farm to appointed targets.
  • Develop, implement and execute targeted action and service plans for herd management with key accounts based on DanBreds solution-oriented services. Specifically, with focus on Nucleus Management, breeding plans, data registration, and analysis of on-farm and AI center level.
  • Engage and encourage the technical development of DanBred’s distributor network.
  • Execute a role as a DanBred technical ambassador through presentations at industry meetings and symposia.
  • Lead in preparation and execution of goal-oriented action plans for targeted industry influencers.

 

 

Job requirements include:

  • At least 10 years of practical hands-on experience from professional pig production, covering general pig production and breeding management (essential).
  • Ability to transfer solution-oriented knowledge into hands-on application on-farm.
  • Demonstrated leadership in project-oriented consulting of several projects at the same time.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and take ownership of projects.
  • Confident to work with industry partners from across the sector.
  • Ability to influence key decision-makers who drive internal objectives that impact the key areas of accountability.
  • Ability to explain and discuss complex technical information with a broad range of individuals from business management to farm managers, from scientists and academics to students and the general public.
