Breeding programme and goals

The Danish Agriculture & Food Council, Sector for Pigs, is responsible for the Danish pig breeding system. This system is based on three breeds: DanBred Landrace (LL), DanBred Yorkshire (YY), and DanBred Duroc (DD). These three breeds form the basis for an outstanding genetic potential with the DanBred crossbreeding programme.
